We selected Direct Marketing as the way and Kerala as the platform for very obvious reasons. We knew that nobody has opted DM as a method of selling electronic equipments. But our study showed ample scope for DM in the sales to individual customers as well as institutional purchasers. While the customer is in the process of making a decision to own an electronic device, it is generally found that the customer is not well versed with the features of the appliance. Secondly Kerala is a land of high literacy and awareness in the general fields. A sizeable chunk of population belongs to middle class and all strongly aspires to go up in the strata. They are looking forward to an opportunity to acquire modern equipment. What they need is precise information on the features, as well as guidance on resolving the issues preventing them from purchasing it at the said moment. That can be carried out by our professional and planned approach. In this way we can project our expertise in this area and be the forerunners of this concept, and establish Samsung as the leader in this area.
